About this research library
Tools are assessed by evidence, not by borrowed experience.
Recip Saw Guide is an English-language research edition about handheld reciprocating saws for rough cutting, repair and demolition-style work. Its current U.S. library contains 150 individually assessed model and package configurations drawn from 18 recorded manufacturer listing surfaces. This documented-source snapshot is not an exhaustive census of every saw on sale. The English edition remains a draft and is marked noindex pending acceptance; publication and hosting status are handled separately.
How a model enters the library
We start with manufacturer category listings and exact model records, keeping bare tools, kits, functional variants and materially different generations distinct where they affect a buying decision. Items in the recorded source scope are individually resolved before inclusion or explicit exclusion. Accessories, non-U.S. editions and verified duplicates sit outside the saw-review set; missing evidence is not a basis for claiming a feature is absent.
How facts are treated
Manufacturer product pages and model-specific manuals are primary evidence for stated specifications and operating restrictions. An independent assessment may explain what a feature could mean for a buyer, but it does not convert marketing language into a measured result. If a source does not establish weight, dimensions, mode or package contents, the site says so and does not use the unknown to satisfy an essential finder choice.
No invented field experience
The reviews are source-based research. This edition does not claim ownership, workshop use, teardown, performance tests, runtime measurements, sound tests or cut-count trials. Product comparisons are limited to model-level distinctions supported by the cited primary records.
Using the library
Use the finder to narrow the covered set around requirements that matter for the work. Unknown specifications do not qualify a model for an essential choice. Before buying, confirm the complete model suffix, package contents and current seller terms; a family name or photograph alone does not establish what comes in the box.
